Community Bridges - Meals on Wheels

Enhancing lives through healthy meals and friendly human contact. Nurturing elders at one of five dining sites, or meals delivered to the home. Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County is part of the Community Bridges family of programs.

Our Dining Sites are now open. Highlands Park Senior & Community Center is one of our Dining Sites.

Meals can also be brought to your home or location. A friendly visit and a nutritious meal helps support independence for vulnerable elders and disabled residents. Our drivers check in on the wellbeing of isolated elders, ensuring they receive referrals to other needed services.

Grey Bears Food Bags

Grey Bears improves the health and well-being of seniors and our community through food distribution.

Sign up or renew here to pick up a weekly grocery bag of fresh produce and healthy staples at Highlands Park Senior Center on Fridays between 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. or have one delivered to your home – 48 weeks per year.

There are no income requirements – Grey Bears shares the bounty. The annual cost is just $50 for one year (less than $1 per week), $100 for two years, and $500 for a lifetime membership. Free service is available for anyone with a financial hardship – no one is ever turned away.
